BONSAI Exhibition – BONSAI in Kawaguchi and the Four Centuries of Angyo-
“With centuries-old trees and decades of care by Bonsai masters, Bonsai is an art form born from the layers of time, the essence of seasons, and the skillful dialogue between craftsmen and plants.
Bonsai, often likened to a small universe in a pot, is now cherished worldwide. In Kawaguchi, the art and culture of Bonsai have flourished, with Angyo, steeped in a four-century history, at its heart.
In celebration of the 90th anniversary of Kawaguchi’s municipal administration and the 100th anniversary of the former Tanaka family residence, we are pleased to present the exhibition ‘Bonsai: The Four Centuries of Bonsai in Kawaguchi and Angyo.’ This exhibition will be held in two venues.
At the first venue, the Art Gallery ATLIA, you will witness a collaboration between Bonsai and contemporary art. At the second venue, the Former Tanaka Family Residence, you can immerse yourself in the beauty of Bonsai through traditional Bonsai displays.
We invite you to visit and enjoy this special event.”
